I remember a bold intervention you once made with someone who demanded a lot of attention - which the group suffered from but nevertheless did nothing about. You said something about how to deal with malfunctions. Everyone understood what you meant, including the person himself. He accepted what you said because you delivered it in a respectful and narrative way, not judgemental. That was a real wow experience for me, one that I have seldom seen.

When, in a recent past professional life, our team had reached an impasse due to a number of tensions, Katelijne was there to guide us. Although respectful of everyone's opinion, she still refused to shy away from the difficult questions. She remained firmly in control in order to achieve the goal, while leaving plenty of room for each person, for everyone's story and for what was happening in the group.
